| + | Thanks for the message and declaration. I am glad to notice that you are so brave in France and strongly resisting. I have to tell you that we encounter the same problem here in Finland, but here it may be too late since the Government has made a new law proposal and the leadership of Helsinki University has accepted it. Only now the professors are alarmed and we make a public declaration against this ‘reform’ which is similar by nature as that done in France. We shall have on April 1st a meeting of the Consistorium Maius, i.e. all the professors where this declaration will be signed and then sent to the Parliament which is dealing with the new University law. In this law University becomes a kind of enterprise and we, professors, will no longer be functionaries of the State, but employed by enterprise called University, and students will be our ‘customers’ . There is also one detail: namely according to the new statutes the copyrights of our work, research, will belong to the employer, not to us, which is totally crazy. But I think there ‘reforms’ take place in the all EU, so radical means to resist are needed. | ||

Ils n’ont pas eu notre cran, ne sont pas descendus dans la rue, et n’ont pas proposé un nouveau modèle de manifestation permanente.
